I have always been interested in learning how to create a website and to code. I have practiced a little bit with some minor HTML creation such as this assignment and other projects, but I still have much to learn. My Goals in taking this course is:
I started learning how to make basic webpages online. I realized I had a lot to learn. Fortunately, there was a lot of helpful resources online. I watched many instructional videos such as this YouTube tutorial titled How to Make a Super Simple Website.
I realized that it may be beneficial to go to college and learn more information, specifically about coding and web design. I began my pursuit for a formal education at MATC two years ago. After I completed the IT Computer Support Specialist Program at Milwaukee Area Technical College, I decided to continue my quest for knowledge here at UW Milwaukee. I chose to go to UW Milwaukee because they have a good reputation and are the closest School of Information Studies near me. They also have a very influential mission statement.
"UWM’s School of Information Studies (SOIS) is committed to shaping the future of library science and information technology by improving the world through innovation and inquiry, connecting humans to the information they use every day.
